It's been another busy week at Jonathan David HQ!

Last week, we launched what we're dubbing "Skill Share", where we'll be offering free commercial photography in exchange for a social media post and a selection of skills/services from the companies we'll be helping.

We know how hard it is for everyone at the moment, but it seems to me, that business owners have been hit the hardest. We want to help any way we can so that once the doors are allowed to open again, businesses have got a selection of stunning images to properly showcase their products, stand out from the rest, and hit the ground running!

Well, it all went a little mental, to be honest with you!

We were inundated with small local businesses and sole traders who wanted us to help with some new images for social media or their website. We've vowed to stick to our promise and help every single person that got in touch with some incredible photography.

This is when we spoke with Steve who owns Plan Burrito in Loughborough.

The first thing you should know about Steve is that we go WAY back, in actual fact, my dad was his dad's best man at his parent's wedding, many, many moons ago.

After not speaking for a good few years, Steve reached out to me and asked me to come and take some images at their restaurant. We honestly jumped at the chance.

Plan Burrito is an amazing little business and has won numerous awards for their Burrito's, Taco's, and Churros, which I can tell you first hand are more than well deserved.

The restaurant itself has got a remarkable vibe, and you can tell instantly that Steve has made every effort to make you feel like you're stepping into a proper little Mexico, right from the music, vintage-style Jukebox, and the unbelievable artwork on the walls.

So we started firstly with some images around the restaurant, focusing on those little touches we mentioned above, really trying to capture the look and feel of the business.

Once we'd finished, we moved on to some images for their menu, which was freshly cooked up. I can tell you now, it was really difficult to not eat everything that came out to us, but we ploughed on, and I think got some stunning images as a result.

It was an absolute pleasure to shoot at Plan Burrito! The icing on the cake at the end of the shoot was getting our pick from the menu, which Steve kindly arranged for us.

If you've got a business, and think we could work together, please get in touch and we'll be happy to work with you. I'll be running this offer for just the next couple of months, so it's worth cashing in on my services.

As hard as things are for local businesses, I know it is equally just as difficult financially for couples thinking about their wedding photographer. I haven't forgotten about you guys too, so I've introduced a series of new packages from £200 including a FREE engagement shoot.

If you're getting married, and are still on the fence about booking with me, send me a message or give me a call on 07549 156506 and let's have a chat about your plans for your wedding photography.

Zoom is proving very popular at the moment, so I'm more than happy to have a meeting over zoom with you and share my years of experience within the industry.

That's it for this week, and this month actually! I'll see you back here next Sunday with another new blog post. In the meantime, stay safe and have a great week!

Peace out. ✌
