A Very Merry Christmas & My 2021 Round up!

Before I start, I need to apologise, it appears my blog didn't post last Sunday, so as a little bit of a Christmas treat, and as this will be the last blog of this year, I wanted to do a post on some of my best bits from 2021.

I don't feel like we can do a 2021 blog without addressing the elephant in the room that is COVID. Whilst COVID hasn't been as intrusive as 2020, it's still played a huge part in nearly all of my couples plans from this year, with lots of them having to move dates, or limit guests in line with restrictions. But, all that being said, there's been some incredible weddings, and regardless of us all worrying about Omicron now, unless Bojo throws any curveballs 2022 should be just as awesome.

They say a picture paints a thousand words, so I'm gonna let the pictures do the talking here! 😉

It's well and truly been a year of couples doing things differently, sometimes through their own choice, sometimes due to COVID, but I can honestly say every single wedding I've attended this year, has been PERFECT in every sense of the word!

As always, I've made some lifelong mates along the way, heard some incredible speeches, and have had the pleasure of sharing a special day with some truly amazing people.

But, as I sit here, with chronic indigestion, full of wine and enough turkey to put Bernard Mathews out of business, there's definitely a few thank you's that need to be dished out, as I honestly couldn't have made it through this year without the support of my friends and family.

Firstly to my incredible partner in crime, Rachel.

Rach has been a pivotal part of Jonathan David Photography this year, where she's attended as a second photographer and has put a HUGE amount of work into both her own career and photography too. On top of that, she's a delight to be the first person I see every day and has supported me both with the business and on a personal level too. I'm incredibly lucky to do something I love for a living, and one of the best bits is knowing I get to share that with my best friend too! Thank you so much Rach you've been amazing this year. I love you, trouble.

Secondly, Jonathan David Photography wouldn't be where it is now without the incredible people I've worked with throughout this year. Not just the couples I work with, but the people who take the time out of their day to read my blogs, share them and tag me in numerous Facebook posts. Being self-employed isn't easy, but knowing I've got people championing my work is incredibly humbling and It honestly means the world. So a special thank you goes out to those people!

I'm working on a little offer to tie things up for the year, so all of those people get the much-needed recognition for all their hard work!

But as we face the end of 2021, from both myself and Rachel, I'd like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year!

2022, LET'S BE HAVING YOU!

Peace, Love and Photos

Jono x
