Happy New Year!
Well, here we are, 2023. How mental does that sound?!
I'm sure there are a few sore heads today, and rightly so because there's cause for celebration!
Firstly, if you got engaged over the festive period, a HUGE HUGE HUGE congratulations goes out to you guys! The fun starts here! Get excited, and book your photographer ASAP! ;)

Lots of you already have me booked for your weddings this year, and no doubt they'll be even more of you booking me in for the coming years and months ahead. As those of you who have worked with me before will know, I love getting involved, and more often than not, I get just as excited about your wedding as you do!
There's a hell of a lot to look forward to this year on top of weddings. We've got our collab with Perfect Brides wedding fayres coming up next month which will see us heading along to the National Wedding Fayre, where one lucky couple will win their entire wedding. Another application will be of course be winging it's way over to this year's wedding industry awards (It's our year this year, so we're gonna go in hard for it this time around!) and personally a rather exciting trip in May, which will no doubt come with its own MASSIVE album, more on that later in the year though.
So, what are our goals for the year?
Well, first and foremost, I want to meet more couples! It's no doubt my favourite thing about working in this industry. I get to meet so many interesting people. Everyone comes with their own story, and no two couples are the same, and that's what makes you all so awesome!
Getting to know you all really does help me break down a few barriers that inherently come with having your photo taken. I'm all too aware that it's an uncomfortable experience, and if I'm less of a stranger on the big day, we can have a real laugh with it, so there is actually a method in the madness! I want to hear your story, and then capture your big day ready for you to start your next chapter.
One thing I've talked about doing for so long is getting my work featured in a magazine. I have no idea where to start with that one, so if anyone has any contacts, let me know, I'd love to cross that one off the bucket list for this year, we just need to get our foot in the door!
I'm always learning, always looking for the next adventure and always looking forward to seeing where this crazy journey takes us. 2022 was such a fantastic year for us, and if nothing else, it's made us want to up the ante this year!
Aside from that, writing the correct year whenever I have to write down the date for the entirety of January would be a good start too... Not sure anyone gets that one right though!

On another note, I know Christmas/New Year can be difficult for lots of people for lots of different reasons, so I'll leave you with this:
If 2022 was a good year for you. Keep it up, you'll smash it. If it wasn't, see 2023 as a fresh and positive start. You've got this.
