Claire and Hayden's Engagement Shoot...

Updated: Jan 20

Well, it's been another busy week for us over at Jonathan David HQ!

Whilst we're steadily approaching wedding season, with spring being just around the corner (believe it or not!) we've been busy meeting with lots of new couples, and getting ready for what is going to be an incredibly busy summer!

Last weekend, however, I did get to head out with the camera to Brownsover Hall with the awesome Claire and Hayden for their engagement shoot ahead of their wedding later this year.

Now as you'll all well know, I'm a fan of anything that goes against the grain and photographing any couple that wants to do things a little differently is definitely welcomed with open arms! So when Claire got in touch, with a brief of dark and moody photos, her wedding with Hayden was one we HAD to get in the diary!

As Claire and Hayden had added an engagement shoot to their package, we set about planning a date and venue. After chatting backwards and forwards about some ideas, we conveniently managed to get them booked in for their shoot straight after Claire's makeup and hair trial at Brownsover Hall. The timing couldn't have been better.

They'd both made a real effort, and had gone with a really gothic vibe, which tied together with some suitably moody weather and the amazing surroundings at Brownsover Hall made for some awesome shots, which I'm over the moon with!

After exploring the grounds, we headed inside to make the most of the landings and hallways at the venue. Brownsover Hall has some incredible staircases and antique furniture dotted around the building which again tied in perfectly with the route we were going down for their photos.

As Claire had cashed in on the opportunity and booked a room at the hotel for the weekend, I didn't want to pass up on the chance to grab some photos in their suite. So we made our way to their room, which was just as incredible as the rest of the building to snap the final few photos from their shoot.

Claire is a real natural in front of the camera, and even though Hayden was new to the experience, he got stuck in and ultimately looked just as comfortable when it came to editing their images. It's safe to say I had a wicked time with them both photographing their engagement shoot, and I can't wait for their big day, where I'll be heading along with Dan for both their Photography and Videography!

Peace, Love and Photos!
